Another stunning winter day in South East Queensland. As I drove past Pelican Lake this morning I had to stop. Not a breath of wind to disturb the surface, the only ripples created by a few ducks leisurely swimming around. It was 9-30 and I was on my way to my weekly art group, but I took time to sit for a while and just enjoy the peace and tranquillity. I wish you could join me.
Looks so lovely š

I once lived in a house that was on a waterway, it was so lovely to sit and take in the view. Not that I did much sitting then as I had 4 small children! Thanks for sharing this lovely scene.

I must admit I am enjoying the peace and the views here (well when the cattle shut up!)

Love the photo here of Pelican Lake. We have many lakes here in Washington State but have only seen a few of them in my years here.

The Gold Coast, where I live, is built on canals with lots of small lakes everywhere

Just had the hottest July on record with average temps over 23C. And this is mid-winter! A very pleasant temperature to sit and linger awhile
